Foundation of Kabelwerk Rhenania GmbH with entry in the Aachen commercial register as a subsidiary of Kabelwerk Eupen AG under the management of Carl and August Bourseaux on 12 September 1921
Considerable damage caused by the Second World War
Reconstruction of the plant by the company’s employees
Resumption of production
At the beginning of 1950, the production of rubber insulation was converted to modern plastic insulation

Our associations

The Bundesverband Breitbandkommunikation e.V. (BREKO) and its members are clearly committed to the future-proof of fibre optics. At BREKO, we meet a large number of our customers such as carriers and municipal utilities.

At the Fachverband Fernmeldebau (FFB), we meet both medium-sized craft businesses and large international companies. Hardly any other industry has developed as much in recent decades as the telecommunication construction industry.

The Bundesverband Glasfaseranschluss e.V. (BUGLAS) is an association of companies which are installing fiber optic cables directly into buildings or households (Fibre to the Building/Home, FttB/H) in Germany. They set up and operate future-oriented, high-performance communication networks, with bandwidths up to the gigabit range.

The ZVEI is an industry association, representing the German electrical engineering sector. Kabelwerk Rhenania GmbH is an active member of ZVEI’s “Cables and Insulated Wires” trade association.

Europacable is the voice of all leading European wire and cable manufacturers. As a member of Europacable and signatory of the Europacable Industry Charter, Kabelwerk Rhenania GmbH supports and commits to fulfil the principles of this charter in order to promote and defend quality standards in the cable industry. The Charter expresses our commitment to the common principles and objectives of ethical, sustainable and high quality cable development and manufacturing.
